Campsites
We list sites we have stayed on, and we describe access and drainage before we describe the view. A site that cannot take your vehicle is not a site.

How we assess a site
No stars, no scores out of ten. Four questions, answered in the order that decides whether you can use the place.
Can you get there?
Lane width, passing places, gradient and turning space at the entrance.
Can you pitch?
Pitch dimensions, hardstanding quality, drainage after sustained rain and levelling.
Does it work?
Water, waste, electrical supply, chemical disposal and whether they function in winter.
Is it worth it?
Price against what is provided, and what is within walking or short driving distance.
